Accent Highlights vs Partial Highlights?

What is the difference between accent hightlights and partial highlights? i have a coupon for accent highlights, i am just now quite sure what they are. What would your reccomendations be for accent highlights with a dark brown base color?Accent Highlights vs Partial Highlights?
Accent highlights usually means that they will be painting in, or foiling just a few highlights around your face. Some may refer to it as baliage. ( a fancy and expensive sounding word for paint on highlights) It is a good way to introduce someone to highlighting who has not had it before. Partial highlights are more extensive, as well as expensive. Be careful! Those coupons are given to get you in the door! If the hairdresser talks you into getting more highlights, it is referred to as a coupon upgrade, and you will be charged! They will probably try to talk you into other services as well. As far as a highlight shade for your dark brown base, i always love to go with the caramel as the highlight. Nothing looks as good together as chocolate and caramel. If you have a dark hair i would say that you should get highlights it will make your hair style stand out ore....
I would think they would be chunkier highlights just placed at certain points, mostly near your face. Caramel would be a nice shade.
