Youtube Banning all Football Highlights ? Whats the point
I didnt have time to watch match of the day so would watch Highlights on Youtube !
Well i have noticed that they have been banning them all ? Why
Whats the point in this ? since its was on TV last night anyway , If its a Film then i can understand but not football highlights !
Anyone know where else i can find these highlights ?Youtube Banning all Football Highlights ? Whats the point?
Yeah I noticed that to but I think its the NFL thats not allowing it due to some copyright law.Youtube Banning all Football Highlights ? Whats the point?
I don't know where you can watch the footie, but I'm sick to death of youtube's double standards. They are absolutely fine allowing videos of kids beating kids up and the like but when it comes to showing football matches they decide to ban it. They've probably been threatened with a massive fine by sky.
lol cus footballs crap and they want decent vids worth watchin!
It's to protect us from this boring over publicised business called 'soccer'
NFL doesnt give youtube concent to play these clips so you tube must ban them in order to avoid a lawsuit. The NFL doesnt ***** around when it comes to piracy, although you make a valid point and its a good way to catch up on what you missed.... try catching highlights on espn.com or something. your favorite teams web page may have a few highlights as well. and maybe try NFL.com
sports!!! center!!!
The NFL has COPYRIGHTS to the film. If you don't want to watch the game then watch Sportscenter on ESPN and you will get highlights.
The reason is most likely because the highlights belong to the companies that air them. For example, NBC has exclusive rights to any material (entire games or highlights) that air on NBC. No one else can use or reproduce these images without the express consent of NBC. If they do so, they are subject to a lawsuit.
You can always download video (technically illegally) on Kazaa, Morpheus, Bearshare, etc., but I would recommend one of two things.
1.) Just watch Sportscenter on ESPN or,
2.) Get a DVR and record the games you want to watch.
The video rights to Match of the Day are owned by a network, just as the rights to movies are owned by production companies and distributors. It's all relative.
wow i never heard of that, that sucks
grab a tape, turn on ESPN, record.
YouTube is not responsible. The NFL has instituted new rules this season about allowable amounts of web content. Pretty much any site that's not NFL.com or one of the more well-known NFL coverage networks won't be allowed to have highlights on its website.
ufwalk07 hit the nail on the head. The vids being copied and stuck on sites like You Tube are copyright material belonging to the broadcasters and then the PL and then the clubs....
It's a deep trough for the hogs to gorge themselves at, but no room for the one man crappy quality video pirate!
