Full or partial highlights?

i have brown hair that is a little red and golden from sunlight and salt water i want to get ';sunkissed highlights'; i dont know if thats what its called but i want the ends to look lighter then the roots..

Ask your stylist for a ';T'; Section with a few random sections at the back of fine bleach highlights. That's exactly what I've got. The ';T'; Section is the front of your face and back on the parting. This way it will make it more natural looking and compliment the other colours in your hair. Partial Highlights would be best I think. I'd say for your length of hair, it'll cost somewhere between 90-110+ dollars depending on where you go.
